Royal Hospital for Sick Children

Contract Summary:

The £150m, 58,000 m sq development brings together two distinct services of the Children and Young People’s Hospital, including mental health services for children and adolescents and the Department of Clinical Neurosciences (DCN) for adults.

To reflect the three distinct elements, the design of the project aims to create an inclusive environment for young and more senior citizens with all types of physical and cognitive ability.

The six storey building (including basement) will have a large atrium with a shop and café, a skylight linking both hospital entrances, a helipad on the roof and a link building adjoining adult and paediatric emergency departments.

It will also bring with it an increase in single rooms with ensuite facilities and a range of new technology. Key benefits of the development shall include a total of 233 beds and 10 theatres.

Contract Specifications:

TES were awarded the contract for LV distribution for the innovative development. The Contract Works included:
