TES have recently been awarded a contract by Irish Water for Upgrade Works at Belcarra and Lahardane WWTP’s in Co. Mayo. The project will support Irish Waters first national plan to ensure that the environment is protected from the impacts of wastewater discharges.
TES were awarded the contract following an intensive selection process involving companies throughout the UK and Ireland and will shortly be commencing works. The project will incorporate the following elements;
Belcarra WwTP Upgrade Works
- Maintain current treatment levels during Design Build stage.
- Inlet flow measurement and sampling.
- New primary settlement tank.
- New forward feed pump station.
- New Rotating biological contactor.
- New Secondary settlement tank.
- Provision for sludge holding.
- Final effluent flow measurement and sampling.
- Refurbishment of existing control building
Lahardane WwTP Upgrade Works
- Supply and install of a new 6mm automatic inlet spiral screen
- Inlet flow measurement and sampling.
- New Primary settlement tank.
- New fine bubble diffused aeration (FBDA) system.
- New secondary settlement tank.
- Sludge holding tank.
- Supply and install final effluent (washwater) pump station
