TES recently joined the elite of the UK Water industry at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole hotel to celebrate outstanding innovation in the sector and present the award for ‘People Initiative of the Year’.
More than 500 guests attended the prestigious event, organised by WET News and WWT, to recognise, reward and celebrate the innovative achievements of the award winners and finalists. The event started with a drinks reception and with the event having a circus theme, guests were wowed by jugglers, ringmasters on stilts, a clockwork ballerina and a magician.
The TES sponsored People Initiative of the Year award went to Kier for their Functional English Programme, seeing off strong competition from Imtech Water, Waste & Energy, Welsh Water, Northumbrian Water, Supply UK Water Services and Yorkshire Water.
TES Managing Director Noel McCracken commented “TES would like to congratulate all of the finalists of the People Initiative of the Year award and Kier who were very worthy winners. The innovation shown within the Water Industry is extremely encouraging and it’s fantastic to have an event to bring everyone together and celebrate the forward strides being made”.
