TES and Zulal Water Technology (“Zulal”) (Libya) are pleased to announce a new partnership aimed at providing much needed medium –large scale wastewater treatment solutions to the Libyan market.
With forecast annual GDP growth of nearly 14% from 2012-2016, the Libyan Government has placed infrastructure re-development, including wastewater treatment projects, as a top priority. Following a recent Trade Mission to Tripoli TES identified the suitability of its products and services for the Libyan market and became convinced it could become a key solutions provider for the country’s wastewater needs. TES subsequently entered into discussions with Libya-registered Zulal to explore the potential for collaboration in the territory.
Established in 1999, TES has significant experience as a manufacturer and provider of water and wastewater treatment products and services and has worked on a number of large scale contracts with UK government municipalities and multinational companies internationally including in Middle East, Africa and Europe.
Zulal has, since its inception in 2007, established itself as a leading provider of water and wastewater treatment solutions in Libya and is led by a senior management team which possesses over 50 years combined experience of working in Libya.
This agreement will therefore see Zulal’s product offering expanded further, with both companies working closely together to identify and deliver wastewater treatment solutions throughout Libya.
Brian Taylor, TES Executive Chairman commented: “Zulal are a company that we have been aware about for quite a bit of time. They have fantastic knowledge of the market and great experience of successfully providing water and wastewater solutions over a sustained period of time. We are delighted that they will be representing the range of TES products and services within Libya and look forward to developing a strong partnership with them over the months and years ahead”.
Iftikhar-ul-Haq, Director of Zulal, commented: “Zulal is very happy to have formed this partnership with such a highly renowned and experienced company as TES. They are a highly professional outfit with an excellent track-record in the UK, and we are excited by the prospect of introducing and selling their product range into the Libyan market as it will allow us to match our clients growing needs with a first rate technological product offering.”
