TES have recently achieved excellent Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality scores as part of the reassessment for Achilles UVDB B2 Verify Accreditation. The scores achieved are the best in the Company’s history & reflects the efforts made to ensure that TES continues to operate at a high level.
The UVDB Verify audit and assessment is undertaken independently by Achilles and provides a rigorous assessment of a company’s risk critical issues with a particularly strong focus on demonstrable compliance to Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) requirements.
The reassessment took place via a comprehensive two-day audit of both on-site and off-site procedures. The detailed assessment focused on evaluating both the company’s in house health, safety, quality and environmental systems and also that of a recently completed site installation where site method statements, risk assessments, safe systems and site arrangements were assessed.
TES scored excellently throughout all areas assessed with awarded scores detailed below.
Management System Evaluation | Site Evaluation | ||
Health & Safety | 97% | Health & Safety | 99% |
Environment | 94% | Environment | 100% |
Quality | 92% | Quality | 100% |
Achilles accreditation is required by a number of the Utilities and their principal contractors. Over 30 Utilities and more than 35 of their contracting partners use the UVDB system to qualify their supply chain through a standard assessment of their management systems and site performance.
Commenting on the re-certification, John Crossan, TES SHEQ Manager said “we are continuously striving to improve our management systems and are delighted that our efforts have been recognised with excellent scores following our Achilles audit. We hope to continue to make improvements in future audits and will continue to give these important areas our full attention.”
