TES have announced that the nominated charity for the upcoming year will be Southern Area Hospice. As a result TES staff will be organising and competing in a variety of fundraising events and challenges throughout the coming months.
The Southern Area Hospice was founded in 1989 and provides invaluable support and care to people who are suffering from Cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease and AIDS. They provide these services free of charge and as a result require funding and donations in order to continue to provide this important service to the local community.
In recent months TES staff have taken part in a number of events in order to raise money for the Southern Area Hospice including holding a Coffee morning, a quiz night, a colouring competition and a Christmas jumper competition. These events have helped to raise important funds for the Southern Area Hospice and more events are planned for the new year.
Two TES staff members are already in training for running in the 2014 Virgin London Marathon in April on behalf of the Southern Area Hospice and further Cooking, Physical and Mental challenges and events have been planned for staff to participate in.
Commenting on the nominated charity announcement, TES HR Manager, Nicola Chambers said “the Southern Area Hospice is a fantastic charity which contributes so much to our local community. We are delighted to be supporting them and will do our best to raise as much money as we possibly can.”
In order to support the fundraising effort TES have set up a JustGiving page were you are able to make secure online payments to Southern Area Hospice. Any donations, big or small are greatly appreciated by not only TES and the Southern Area Hospice but also to the sufferers and families of those diagnosed with Cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease and Aids every day in our community.
