TES have recently received recognition for their commitment towards achieving environmental excellence, being named as ‘Best Environmental Business’ during the 2013 Mid Ulster Business Awards.
The award is the result of an environmental focus and drive within all aspects of TES operations. This includes ensuring that products offer reduced energy consumption and running costs for clients, as well as minimising the environmental impact of day to day operations.
TES have, over the last number of years, introduced wide ranging policies and introduced measurable targets to drive forward environmental standards. Detailed training has been provided to all employees to increase environmental awareness and a range of environmental standards, including ISO 14001 accreditation, have been achieved.
In winning the award TES beat competition from a range of industries including food, retail and tourism sectors and demonstrated the progress that engineering companies have made in improving environmental standards over recent years.
Commenting after collecting the award, TES Office Manager Joan Laverty said “we are delighted to receive this award against such tough competition. It’s recognition of the hard work of everyone involved with TES and highlights the high environmental standards that we have in place. Our environmental record and focus has always been fantastic and receiving recognition for that from our local community is a great achievement.”
