TES are pleased to announce that we are supporting and entering a team into a charity event, which will see TES employees competing in a truck pull competition in order to raise funds for Cancer Focus Northern Ireland.
The event, taking place on Sunday 29th March, will see 10 teams of 8 individuals trying to pull a lorry along a measured distance, with the fastest team winning the challenge and a trophy. The TES team of 8 has already been selected from a pool of willing volunteers and they are all eagerly awaiting the event.
Every year in Northern Ireland Cancer Focus provides care and support to 4,000 people living with cancer, including 180 children who have a parent living with a diagnosis and 500 women who need fittings for bras and swimwear after breast surgery.
The Cancer Focus, cancer prevention team visits 250 primary schools across Northern Ireland with a specially developed health and education programme and deliver community health events to 20,000 people. They also help to fund pioneering research at Queen’s University Belfast, investing £300,000 to £400,000 annually into developing tests for the treatment of and prevention of breast cancer.
If you would like to support the event, or would like more information about what will be happening please email us or contact us 028 8676 1141.
Please also come along to offer encouragement to the teams on the day. Everyone is welcome.
