TES are delighted to have recently presented our 2014 nominated charity, the Southern Area Hospice, with a novelty sized cheque for £6,500 following a range of recent fundraising activities.
The fundraising effort recently cumulated when two TES employees successfully completed the 2014 Virgin London Marathon following months of dedicated preparation. This followed a range of other fundraising events organised by the TES staff including coffee mornings and table quizzes.
The Southern Area Hospice was founded in 1989 and provides invaluable support and care to people who are suffering from Cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease and AIDS. They provide these services free of charge and as a result require funding and donations in order to continue to provide this important service to the local community.
Commenting on the presentation TES Office Manager, Joan Laverty said “we are absolutely delighted to have been able to present the Southern Area Hospice with £6,500 to help towards the fantastic work they do in our local community. We would like to thank everybody who helped us to raise this money and really value the support you have shown us.”
Fundraising hasn’t stopped and it isn’t too late to support the Southern Area Hospice. Donations can be made securely via the TES JustGiving page. Any donations, big or small are greatly appreciated by not only TES and the Southern Area Hospice but also to the sufferers and families of those diagnosed with Cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease and Aids every day in our community.
