TES has its own in-house team consisting of designers, project managers, engineers, fabricators and electricians and have purpose-built manufacturing and testing facilities, making TES an ideal choice for clients looking to develop or refurbish data centres and benefit from off-site solutions.
All elements of our switchboards are prefabricated within our Data Centre Campus in Ballykelly and can be assembled off-site using our manufactured solutions, including skid-mounted and containerised products for rapid deployment. Therefore, accelerating the manufacturing process and reducing on-site work.
For TES, our off-site manufacturing approach enables several benefits for ourselves and our clients.
Speed of Deployment
Our off-site manufacturing significantly reduces the overall construction time of our switchgear. As a high proportion of the manufacture and testing is completed within our factories, the on-site time required for final finishing is substantially reduced, minimising disruption to our Data Center clients and reducing project programme length in many cases by over 50%.
Sustainability
Offsite construction is ahead of the game when it comes to sustainability and can be more environmentally friendly compared to traditional construction. Work in the factory can be scheduled to start at the same time as the site is being prepared, so the two processes can take place in parallel, resulting in an accelerated build programme.
The knock-on effect is a reduction in waste and can incorporate sustainable building materials and practices. In addition, reduces the impact of construction activities on-site such as; disruption to existing operations, noise, site access, ground disturbance and vehicle movements.
Scalability
Data center needs often evolve over time. TES’s Modular construction allows for easy scalability. Additional Modules can be manufactured and integrated into the existing data center infrastructure as needed, reducing downtime and disruption. At TES we can design switchgear to meet the specific requirements of our Data Center clients.
Safety, Quality and Risk Control
Transferring work off-site into a controlled environment improves safety and reduces risk. It’s much safer for TES to manufacture and pre-fabricate in a controlled factory environment rather than in a building undergoing construction work.
In our controlled factory environments, it is also easier for TES to maintain high construction quality standards. Quality control measures are standardised and consistently applied, reducing the risk of errors or defects that could impact data center performance.
Predictable Financial Costs
Off-site manufacturing helps control costs more effectively because the construction process is streamlined and less subject to on-site delays or disruptions. This makes it easier to predict and manage the budget.
Enhanced specification standards and build quality can also reduce occupancy costs related to energy use, defects and repairs. In addition, a modular off-site manufactured solution can be manufactured with the potential of future expansion in mind or to best utilise available space.
Overall, TES’s off-site manufacturing abilities offer our data center clients a more efficient, flexible, and cost-effective way to design, build, and expand their facilities, which is crucial in today’s fast-paced, data-driven world.
