TES have recently been awarded a new long term, multi-million pound contract with Northern Ireland Water. The Mechanical Installation Repair & Maintenance (MIRM) contract requires TES to provide essential planned and reactive maintenance and repair services to NIW assets throughout the region.
NIW is responsible for the supply and distribution of safe, clean drinking water and the provision of sewerage services for approximately 840,000 domestic, agricultural and business customers throughout Northern Ireland. NI Water supplies these services to a population of 1.7 million.
An overview of the size, scale and nature of the assets operated by NI Water include but are not limited to 27,000 km of Water Mains, 1,300 Sewerage Pumping Stations, 23 Major Water Treatment Works, 16,000 km of Sewers and over 1,000 Waste Water Treatment Works; all of which fall under the servicing requirements of this contract.
Having delivered the previous Mechanical Installation Repair & Maintenance (MIRM) contract for the past six years, the TES team are highly experienced in providing mechanical upgrades and repairs both in urgent response cases and as part of a planned maintenance schedule.
In response to being awarded the contract, TES Contract Manager Chris Taylor commented, “we’re delighted to have been awarded this contract following a highly competitive tendering process. Our vastly experienced team is already mobilised and delivering essential mechanical maintenance throughout the province. We look forward to working closely with NI Water and other delivery partners over the years ahead to ensure that there is no disruption to the essential Mechanical works required throughout the Northern Ireland Water network.”
