The Sage/SICON 200 System Developer will be responsible for developing and optimizing the Sage 200 system to meet the specific needs of our switchgear manufacturing business. This role requires a deep understanding of Sage 200 functionality, as well as the ability to customize and integrate additional modules and features to streamline our operations and improve efficiency.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. System Analysis and Requirements Gathering:
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and objectives.
    • Conduct comprehensive analysis of existing Sage 200 system configuration and functionality.
    • Identify areas for improvement and customization to align with the needs of the switchgear manufacturing business.
  2. System Development and Customization:
    • Customize Sage 200/SICON modules and features to optimize business processes, including but not limited to:
      • Inventory management
      • Production planning and scheduling
      • Sales order processing
      • Purchasing and procurement
      • Financial management
    • Develop custom reports, dashboards, and workflows to support decision-making and enhance visibility into key performance metrics.
    • Integrate Sage 200/SICON with other business systems and applications as needed for seamless data exchange and workflow automation.
    • Coordinate with External IT Management Company for the Company
    • Review all Systems within the Company and develop and evolve to become efficient reporting tools to Management in order to make informed decisions.
  3. Testing and Quality Assurance:
    • Develop and execute test plans to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of customizations and integrations.
    • Conduct thorough testing of new features and enhancements to identify and address any issues or discrepancies.
    • Collaborate with end users to gather feedback and make necessary adjustments to optimize system usability and functionality.
  4. Documentation and Training:
    • Prepare comprehensive documentation of system configurations, customizations, and workflows.
    • Provide training and support to end users to ensure effective utilization of Sage 200 system capabilities.
    • Develop training materials and resources to facilitate user adoption and proficiency.

Qualifications and Skills:

    • Proven experience in developing and customizing Sage 200 systems for manufacturing or similar industries.
    • Strong understanding of switchgear manufacturing processes and industry-specific requirements is an advantage
    • Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, VBScript, or C#.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
    • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Experience with project management methodologies and tools is a plus.
    • Sage/SICON 200 certification or training is preferred.
